Lanark Highlands man charged with two vehicle thefts in Saturday morning incidents

opp-logo-300x241Lanark County OPP have charged a Lanark Highlands man following a motor vehicle collision.

On Saturday August 27th, just after 7:00 am, the OPP were called to a vehicle in the ditch at Drummond-10-A and Township Boundary Road, in Drummond North Elmsley Township.

The Suzuki car was abandoned and had serious damage. They later found it was stolen.

While they were looking into that, another call came in about another car being stolen from an address on Township Boundary Road. Police found it, abandoned and with serious damage too.

There are no details on exactly how, but a young man was apprehended and charged following the OPP's investigation.

A 19 year-old has been charged with two counts of motor vehicle theft, and one count of failing to comply with the conditions of an undertaking.

He was held pending a Bail Hearing.
