Brown urges Remembrance Day participation

MP for Leeds-Grenville – Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, Gord Brown is encouraging constituents to participate in Remembrance Day Services.

Brown said, “At this time of year we thank our veterans for their courage, dedication, and many sacrifices and we especially remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice on our behalf.”

He added, “It is because of their sacrifices that Canada is one of the safest, most prosperous countries in the world.  We will always remember the work of our brave service members, past, present, and future. It does not go unappreciated.”

Brown noted that there are Remembrance Day services in almost every community in Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, and asks that we all, “Please take the time to remember.”

Brown will be laying a wreath in Gananoque this year.
