Updated Weather Statement from Environment Canada

Weather Statement SnowSpecial weather statement in effect for:

  • Plevna - Sharbot Lake - Western Lanark County
  • Smiths Falls - Perth - Eastern Lanark County

March will end on a wintery note.

Snow will begin early this morning and end early Saturday morning. Snowfall amounts of 5 to 10 centimetres are likely in many areas. There may be some regions which receive somewhat higher amounts in the range of 10 to 15 cm.

At this time, it does not seem likely that snowfall warnings will be required. However some uncertainty remains, and the evolution of this weather system continues to be monitored closely.
