Lanark County OPP took part in a province-wide highway safety campaign over the Easter long weekend.
The goal of the campaign was increased safety for all road users, with a particular focus on the correct use of seat belts.
The OPP has now released statistics showing how local drivers fared over the campaign.
One hundred and seventeen drivers were stopped for speeding, an additional one was stopped for stunt driving.
Only one driver was charged with distracted driving, one for a liquor license act violation, and 4 were stopped for impaired driving.
Other offenses totaled 24, and insurance issues saw four drivers charged.
The focus of the campaign, the misuse of seatbelts, saw 14 people charged.
