Clark Asking Provincial Gov. To Widen Hwy. 43 in Kemptville

July 17, 2017 by

Leeds Grenville MPP Steven Clark is passing a petition around in an effort to get the Liberal province government to go ahead as soon as possible with its plan to widen highway 43 to four lanes in the Kemptville area.

The project is described as shovel ready and has been part of the province’s infrastructure plan for over five years.

Clark pointed to the fact that this part of Eastern Ontario is one of the fastest growing areas in the province and is currently under served by the two lane link to the 416.

He also pointed out other factors, such as public safety and future economic growth. Clark says critical connections like this are important to the entire province, not just the GTA.

The proposed project carries a 30 million dollar price tag.
