Male arrested for shoplifting and fraud
On Tuesday September 5, 2017 at approximately 10:46 a.m. police were called to attend a business on Lombard Street for a report of a shoplifter. Investigation revealed that a 50-year old male suspect from Perth, Ontario, had entered the store and selected a product and then attempted to return the item without paying for it. Staff also recognized the suspect from a prior shoplifting incident on August 13, 2017. In this incident the suspect selected a product and then left without making any effort to pay at the cash. Police located and arrested the suspect on scene. The suspect was held for a bail hearing to answer to these charges.

Male arrested for domestic assault
On Tuesday September 5, 2017 police arrested a 51 year-old male suspect from Smiths Falls for numerous domestic related charges. Investigation revealed that on September 2, 2017, the suspect had assaulted and threatened his girlfriend, another male, breached his probation and officer in charge undertaking release conditions. The suspect was held for a bail hearing to answer to these charges.

Male arrested for breaching his recognizance release condition
On Tuesday September 5, 2017 police arrested a 51 year old male suspect from Smiths Falls, for breaching his release condition. Investigation revealed that the suspect was to sign in on this date by a certain time and he failed to do so. The suspect was later released by way of a promise to appear in court document to answer to this charge.
