Between Monday September 4, 2017 and Monday September 11, 2017 officers from the Lanark Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 371calls for service.

The calls included:

Motor Vehicle Collisions
Total 27. Including:

  • 6 Car / Deer
  • 4 Single Motor Vehicle Leaving Highway ("In Ditch")
  • 7 Parking Lots

Impaired Drivers
At 02:21 am on Sunday September 10 officers saw a Dodge Pickup Truck traveling at a high speed south on Bridge Street in the Town of Carleton Place.

A 22 year-old Mississippi Mills man is charged with: One (1) Count - Drive Motor Vehicle Over 80mgs of Alcohol per 100mls of Blood. And one count each of Novice Driver Blood /Alcohol Concentration Above Zero, Class G1 Licence Holder Drive at Unlawful Hour, and Drive Motor Vehicle with Open Container of Liquor. The man was released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

Domestic Incidents
At 11:36 pm on Wednesday September 6 officers were called to a residence on Stanley Road in Tay Valley Township. A 29 year-old man from Tay Valley Township is charged with: Two Counts of Assault, one count of Criminal Harassment, three counts of Breach of Peace Bond, and three counts of Breach of Recognizance. He was held in custody pending a Bail Hearing in the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.

At 09:41am on Sunday September 10 officers were called to a residence on 6th Line of Beckwith, Beckwith Township. A 31 year-old woman from Beckwith Township is charged with One Count of Assault. She was released to appear at the Provincial Court in Perth.

At 10:06pm on Sunday September 10 officers were called to a residence on Crampton Drive in the Town of Carleton Place. A 33 year-old man from the City of Ottawa is charged with one count of Assault. He was released to appear at the Provincial Court in Perth.

Officers also dealt with eight other calls relating to property, or communication, or child custody agreements.
