Spartan Football season ends on a down note

October 31, 2017 by

The following was submitted by St. John Catholic High School, in Perth:

The Spartans ended their football season Monday with a 27-2 loss to Almonte at Beckwith Park.  It was a day where the weather conditions wreaked havoc with the playing conditions for both teams.

Although the rain let up, heavy winds dictated the style of play .

Almonte's ground game was superior on this day and they were able to score. Unfortunately, the same couldn't be said for the Spartans.

Despite the loss, this has been another successful season for Spartan Football. The coaches would like to thank the players and their families for their dedication to the program.

Looking forward to another great season next year.
