Still time to take the plunge in Perth on New Year’s Day

Lake 88If you’re looking for an interesting way to ring in the New Year, you can always sign up to take part in the annual Perth Polar Bear Plunge.

It goes New Year’s morning at the Legion in Perth and each year a different community organization benefits by the efforts of the plungers.

This year, proceeds are going to the Table Community Food Centre. People of all ages take part and take the dip into the icy Tay River.

It gets underway with breakfast at the Legion at 8 am, and plunging will start shortly after ten. If you’d like to come out and watch, or just have the breakfast, that’s okay too.

But if you’d like to jump, just show up with a minimum $25 donation and attend the safety meeting the morning of the jump.  To find out more, just visit, or call 613-267-6428.

Lake 88 is proud to have a team taking part. It will be our third year taking the plunge.
