Male returns to robbery scene- is re-arrested
On the 4th of February 2018 Smiths Falls Police arrested 22 year old Randall Dowdall of Smiths Falls after he re-attended a local business after alleging committing a robbery there January 21st 2018. Dowdall had been held for a bail hearing for offences of armed robbery, but was released on conditions in court. Dowdall was further charged with breach of his recognizance of bail and held in custody.

Female assault leads to charges
On the 4th of February 2018 a 47 year old female from Smiths Falls was arrested and charged with assault after an argument turned physical at a local bar. She was later released on conditions.

The Smiths Falls Police are asking for the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects observed on video committing a theft at the Smiths Falls Hospital’s gift shop. It was sometime in the early morning hours of February 5th.  The female is described as being; white with dark hair wearing a black top, light pants and black boots. The male suspect is black, wearing a black hoodie, with dark sunglasses, work boots and jeans. (See Photo at left)

Female turns herself in on outstanding warrants
On the 5th of February 2018 a 49 year old female was arrested on several outstanding warrants for failing to appear, failing to comply and criminal harassment after turning herself in to court. She was held in custody.

Male makes threatening comments towards local police
On the 6th of February 2018 Smiths Falls Police received information from the Perth court house that a male had made threatening comments towards Smiths Falls Police. The 50 year old male was located, arrested and charged with uttering threats. He was released on conditions after a bail hearing.

Male arrested on warrant after spotted by an officer
On the 7th of February 2018 Smiths Falls Police located a male walking who was known to the officer to have an outstanding committal warrant. The 26 year old male was arrested and held in custody.
