The Rideau Valley Conservation authority says lakes in Upper Rideau watershed are reaching flood levels. 

The notice is specific to Bobs and Christie Lakes but may apply to other lakes in the area where remotely accessible monitoring equipment is not installed.

Lanark County's Economic Development Committee has recommended that the county endorse a draft plan of subdivision for Carleton Place.

Rideau Lakes Township is planning to purchase the former Rideau-Centennial Public School in Portland from the Upper Canada District School Board.

The Westport Review-Mirror reports the municipality would take over the building on Highway 15 on February 1st of 2019, for a purchase price of $140,000.
