Extension granted for CPDMH temporary office space

May 9, 2018 by

CPHospital-300x175Carleton Place town council has passed a bylaw approving an extension the Carleton Place and District Memorial Hospital’s use of temporary office space.

The 960 square foot modular unit was first placed in front of the hospital in May of 2014 to free up space inside the hospital.

Since its installation, the unit has housed the hospital’s administrative offices which were previously located in the basement.

By moving staff outside, to the modular unit, the hospital has been able to have separate waiting rooms for surgical and emergency patients as well as expand the range of medical services it offers.

The new bylaw will extend the hospital’s use of the modular unit by another three years, allowing it to remain in place until at least 2019.
