LGTIRL NDP Candidate Taylor – Horwath’s NDP is the clear choice on June 7th

LGTI NDP - Michelle Taylor NewsLeeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes NDP Candidate Michelle Taylor is running for provincial office for the first time, after she realized provincial policies in place don’t serve the public efficiently.

She spoke with Lake 88’s In Focus where she spoke of efforts that she was a part of to keep a local school in Athens from closing last year. She said that the process was frustrating due to the current education system and how difficult it made it for everyday citizens to navigate it and make a difference in the lives of their children.

Taylor told us the NDP is ready to change that, and is the best choice for the province, and the riding. "The Liberal Government has been in office a long time," she said, "they're not the ones to fix their own mistakes. She says the Progressive Conservatives don't "really have much of a plan," and a leader with "serious credibility issues."

The Candidate says the logical choice is her Party's leader Andrea Horwath. "Se is making policies that will positively affect people like you and me. I really think people need to make an informed decision on June 7th," said Taylor. "They really need to take a hard look at what the different party policies are, and they need to think about what kind of province they want for the next four years."

Taylor is a mother of four who is hoping that the NDP’s platform planks such as free dental care and restructured post-secondary student assistance program will make a difference in everyday lives.
