Perth hires new CAO

Perth Town Hall BrianPerth’s search for a new CAO has concluded. Ron Ladd who is currently the Senior Administrative Officer in the Hamlet of  Pangnirtung on Baffin Island in Nunavut, beat out 44 other applicants to the Chief Administrator position in Perth.

Councillor Ed McPherson told Lake 88 news the town conducted a nation-wide search to fill the position. After receiving a number of applicants, they narrowed it down to six.

Ladd has experience with the RCMP and the department of Fisheries. He’s from Southern Ontario and is looking forward to moving back to the province.

McPherson called him a very intelligent person and says the town has offered him a five year contract. “We’re happy to have him on board,” said the Councillor.

John DeRosenroll, the current CAO is retiring at the end of June, Ladd is expected to begin mid-June.
