This week marked Perth CAO John deRosenroll’s last council meeting as he heads into retirement after seven years with the town.

Mayor John Fenik told Lake 88 News that deRosenroll left his mark on those who worked with him. "His departure for retirement - a well-earned departure - is bitter sweet. I wish John well and he going to be retiring in the town of Perth so I’m going to be seeing him all the time, but his departure leaved big boots to fill."

The mayor added, "John was an exceptional CAO, and he and I had a very close relationship. He fulfilled the duties of CAO in every aspect, so our new CAO has got big shoes to fill.  I also take comfort in knowing that John’s just a phone call away.”

Ron Ladd who most recently was the Senior Administrative Officer in the Hamlet of  Pangnirtung on Baffin Island in Nunavut has now filled the position.

He has been working with deRosenroll for the past couple of weeks to transition into the office.
