Now in it’s fourth year Canal Pursuit for Mental Health, which raises awareness for depression, mood disorders and PTSD has taken on a different format.

Instead of founder Clay Williams running the entire distance alone, he is joined by teams of runners each taking on 10km portions of the run from Port Severn to Parliament Hill, sharing the burden together.

Shown here from left,  Merriclkville Councillor Chuck MacInnis welcomes Canal Pursuit for Mental Health relay runners Clay Williams carrying the flag, Bob Joynt and Lori Bates as they arrive in Merrickville in the evening of Friday, 24 August.
