Drought hits Level I/Minor status in the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority’s watershed

The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority says rain and snowfall over the last two weeks has helped the watershed head towards “normal” conditions.

They say this has reduced the severity of the drought to Level I / Minor status across the watershed.

The Railway crossing arms in Perth at Wilson and Drummond Streets are back up, and traffic flow has resumed.

They had been down for just over an hour, causing traffic to be re-routed during the morning drive.
