Lanark County OPP report
Between Monday October 1st and Monday October 8th, 2018 officers from the Lanark Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 462 calls for service.
The calls included 46 Motor Vehicle Collisions, which included 17 involving Car / Deer, one involving a bear, nine in parking lots, and five single vehicle collisions (“In Ditch”).
At 10:02pm on Sunday October 7th, officers conducting radar patrol on County Road 29 in the Municipality of Mississippi Mills stopped an eastbound Ford pickup truck traveling at over 90kph in a posted 60kph zone. Keren JACKMAN (41 years) of the municipality is charged with:
-One (1) Count Driving While Ability Impaired (Alcohol and Drug)
-One (1) Count Care or Control of a Motor Vehicle with Over 80mgs of Alcohol per 100mls of Blood
The suspect was released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.
On the same day at 11:22pm officers patrolling Highway 7 in Beckwith Township stopped a westbound Dodge pickup traveling at over 130kph in a posted 100kph zone. Kristopher KLINGER (27 years) of the City of Ottawa is charged with:
-One (1) Count Drive Motor Vehicle with Over 80mgs of Alcohol per 100mls of Blood
Contrary to the Criminal Code.
He was released to appear at the Provincial Court in the Town of Perth.
Officers dealt with 13 incidents relating to communication, child custody and property disputes.
