Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority watershed condition update
Watershed Conditions return to Normal – Level 1 “Minor” Drought Condition Terminated
With the precipitation received over the last month, conditions across the Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority’s watershed have returned to what is considered normal for this time of year.
The Mississippi Valley Conservation Authority (MVCA) is terminating the Level I / Minor status condition for the entire watershed.
MVCA continues to advise the general public to use extreme caution while out on area waterways for recreational purposes such as hunting and fishing. MVCA highly recommends all persons and their pets stay off any ice covered body of water at this time. Hypothermia and frostbite are common dangers at this time of year. Please note that MVCA does not monitor ice conditions.
Daily water levels and flows are available on the MVCA website at http://mvc.on.ca/water-levels/
