New CEO announced for Rideau Community Health
The Board of Directors of Rideau Community Health Services (RCHS) is pleased to announce Michele Bellows as the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the organization.
Mrs. Bellows has over thirty years of clinical and health administration experience. As a health services executive, she has extensive experience in community health care, hospital and long-term care facilities management, and most recently as Vice-President of Patient Care Services and Chief Nursing Executive at the Perth and Smiths Falls District Hospital. She is recognized in the South East LHIN and within the Lanark, Leeds & Grenville sub-regional service systems as a dynamic leader and facilitator for service partnerships to improve access to health and social services for all in our communities. Her career reflects her unwavering commitment to improving access to care and reducing health disparities for at-risk populations and underserved communities.
“I am excited to be part of RCHS. Our role is expansive and vital. We strive to increase equity in the population we serve, reduce deficiencies in health status and to include our communities in health promotion and delivery of care. This is just a small part of what we can and will do.”
“Michele Bellows will join Rideau Community Health Services on February 19, 2019, succeeding Peter McKenna who retired on October 31, 2018. Her wide range of experience makes her the ideal candidate to lead Rideau Community Health Services in our ever-changing and challenging health care environment.” (Jacques Pelletier, Board Chair)
