Crews continue massive cleanup after winter wallop

by | Feb 14, 2019 | Local News | 0 comments

Crews in communities across our listening area and eastern Ontario in general have been working overtime to clean up after this week’s major dumping of snow.

Perth will be back at it tonight removing snowbanks from town streets between 10 and 6 tomorrow morning. You are asked to avoid the areas where the work is being carried out if possible. Crews will be on scene directing traffic.

You’re also asked to obey winter parking laws in Perth and communities across the region.

Vehicles parked on town streets overnight could be towed at the owner’s expense and a fine could be issued.

Check with your local municipal offices for specific rules in your area.

Smiths Falls and Carleton Place have also added work-hours so crews can get as much of the snow out of the way as possible, same goes for Lanark County and other smaller centres.
