Great interview Dawn Quinn. The questions asked were applicable and well informed. Your answers explained what is happening in Smiths Falls with the new council voting to rescind a decision made by the previous council and I might add that this new decision was NOT asked of the public as the previous decision was. A municipal council taking things into their own hands as they think they know better than ANYONE else. A petition of over 3,000 community people are wrong and council knows best. Not. This is not democracy in action, this is dictatorship in action. This goes against the very mandate all councils are asked to follow: The Code of Conduct. Smiths Falls council needs to have a public forum, to listen and actually hear the communities concerns.

Love you Dawn you did great!!!! Thank you! I hope people get to be heard. Fight like you can Smiths Falls! So sad that this wasn’t brought up before they were voted in. I hope we can find a stopper on all this.

I believe the vote count was 4-3 in favour to rescind, not 4-2. Brennan, McGuire, and Dwyer voted against the motion to rescind.

Great interview. Thank you for eloquently presenting the issues, Dawn Quinn.

Thankyou Dawn for your integrity in this matter. When I moved to Smiths Falls, 40 years ago I was so impressed with the uniqueness of the downtown core , specifically the many benefits of angled parking. I believe it would be a shame to change to parallel parking. Thanks again for your continued effort.

Why in the world would you waste money , on something that is not broken ??? Spend it on the Centennial bridge , would be a start as it is broken . A lot of towns in Saskatchewan have angled parking , which make them unique . Rise at the falls folks ! Dennis Staples should threaten to play his sax , on main street , until these wise councillors back off .
