Rideau Canal shoulder season hours now in effect
The Holiday long-weekend marked the beginning of the navigation season along the Rideau Corridor.
Lock stations remain open throughout the week, but are operating on reduced hours.
From now until June 23rd, the hours will be as follows:
|Monday to Thursday||10:00am – 4:00pm|
|Friday to Sunday; and Victoria Day||9:00am – 7:00pm|
Then from June 24th through September 2nd, the following hours are in effect:
|Monday to Thursday||9:00am – 6:00pm|
|Friday to Sunday;
Canada Day*, August Civic Holiday
and Labour Day
|9:00am – 7:00pm|
September third until the end of the season on October 14th will see the following hours in effect:
|Monday to Friday||10:00am – 4:00pm|
|Saturday – Sunday; and Thanksgiving||9:00am – 5:00pm|

⚠️ Attention – Stay safe! Stay well clear of all dams! Especially now when water levels and flows are higher than normal, dams present a greater risk to safety. All visitors (boaters and land-based) should exercise caution around and on the water and stay away from dams.
