Lanark County OPP report

Between Monday July 1, 2019 and Monday July 8, 2019 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 572 calls for service. 

The calls included: 52 Motor Vehicle Collisions Including:
Car / Deer: 11
Parking Lots: 11
Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 8

Impaired Drivers
On July 1, 2019 Justin MOORE, 26yrs of age, of the City of Ottawa, was charged with Operation while impaired as the result of a traffic stop. MOORE is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on September 9, 2019.

On July 6, 2019 Judith BOWEN, 66yrs of age, of the Municipality of Mississippi Mills, was charged with Operation while impaired as the result of a motor vehicle collision. BOWEN is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on July 29, 2019.

On July 7, 2019 Michael BURKE, 28yrs of age, of the Town of Perth, was charged with Operation while impaired as the result of a traffic stop. BURKE is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on August 12, 2019.

Domestic Incidents
On July 3, 2019 a Carleton Place man was charged with one count of domestic assault and two counts of failing to comply with probation.

On July 4, 2019 a Perth man was charged with three counts of domestic assault.

On July 6th, 2019 a Drummond-North Elmsley man was charged with domestic mischief.

The Lanark County OPP also investigated 14 non-criminal domestic dispute occurrences during this period.

Thefts
The Lanark County OPP investigated 12 theft complaints

Mischiefs
The Lanark County OPP investigated 7 mischief complaints during the past week

Frauds
The Lanark County OPP investigated 6 reports of fraud during the past week.
