by | Sep 11, 2019 | Local News | 0 comments

Lake 88 will have extensive coverage of the election from a local perspective with candidate interviews on special editions of In Focus and extensive coverage on Election Night, with special guests and results as they happen.

We will once again be focusing on the two ridings within our listening area.

In Lanark-Frontenac-Kingston. Incumbent Conservative Scott Reid is seeking re-election. He has held the seat, which has gone through boundary and name changes over the years, since 2000. The Liberal candidate is Kayley Kennedy, the Green Party of Canada has Stephen J. Kotze, the People’s Party has Matthew Barton and the NDP is in the process of selecting a Candidate.

In Leeds-Grenville-Thousand Islands and Rideau Lakes, Michael Barret is seeking re-election for the Conservatives after winning a by-election following the sudden death of Gord Brown. The Liberals have Josh Bennet, the NDP, Michelle Taylor, the Green Party, Lorraine Rekmans, and the People’s Party has Evan Tennant-Hindle.

Keep listening to Lake 88.1 and watch for local coverage as the campaign unfolds.
