Male arrested for domestic and weapon offences
On Saturday September 14, 2019, police located and arrested a 48 year old male suspect of Perth, stemming from a domestic assault on female victim on the previous day.  The suspect is also charged with a weapon offence for attending a residence in Perth and brandished a weapon and threatened a male acquaintance of the victim. The suspect stands charged with the following: domestic assault, criminal harassment, uttering a threat and weapons dangerous. The suspect was held for a bail hearing to answer to these charges.

Male arrested for over 80
On Tuesday September 17, 2019 police received a call from a concerned citizen relating to a suspected impaired driver in the area of Brockville Street. Police located the driver and vehicle a short time later. Investigation revealed that the 68 year old male driver of Smiths Falls had more than the legal limit of alcohol in his system. The suspect was placed under arrest, had his vehicle impounded for 7 days and driver’s licence suspended for a period of 90 days as a result. The suspect was later released by way of a Promise to Appear in court.

Male arrested for outstanding warrant
On Monday September 16, 2019, the Ottawa Police Service located and arrested a 43 year old male suspect of Ottawa, for an outstanding warrant for his arrest held by the Smiths Falls Police Service. The warrant was issued stemming from a December 2018 incident in where the suspect was found to be in breach of his recognizance release conditions and failed to attend court. The suspect was later turned over to the Smiths Falls Police Service and held for a bail hearing to answer to these charges.

Youth arrested for numerous weapons offences
On Wednesday September 18, 2019 at approximately 2:52 a.m., police were called to attend a residence on Thom Street for a report of a possible break and enter in progress. Investigation revealed that a 17 year old male suspect of Carleton Place attended the residence with a loaded and concealed firearm attempting to interact with the residents. Police subsequently placed the suspect under arrest. The suspect stands charged with the following: Robbery, Weapons Dangerous, Carrying a concealed weapon, Carless use of a firearm, Using firearm in commission of an offence, Unauthorized possession of a firearm, Possession of a firearm knowing its possession is unauthorized, Uttering threats, Assault police, Breach of probation x 5 and Breach of his recognizance release condition. The suspect was held for a bail hearing to answer to these outstanding charges.

Male arrested for outstanding warrant
On Thursday September 19, 2019 police located and arrested a 27 year old male suspect of Smiths Falls, for an outstanding warrant for his arrest. The suspect stands charged with the following: Sexual assault, Sexual Interference and Overcoming resistance by choking. The suspect was later released by way of a Promise to appear in court and Officer in charge undertaking.

Male arrested for outstanding warrant
On Monday September 23, 2019 at approximately 11:49 a.m., police located and arrested a 21 year old male suspect of Smiths Falls, for an outstanding warrant for his arrest held by the Brockville Police Service for failing to appear in court. The suspect was later turned over to the Brockville Police Service to answer this charge.

Male arrested for breaching his release condition
On Wednesday September 25, 2019 at approximately 9:05 a.m., police located and arrested a 38 year old male suspect of Smiths Falls for breaching his probation release condition. The suspect communicated with a female that he was on conditions not to on the previous day stemming from a previous domestic incident. The suspect was held for a bail hearing to answer to this charge.
