Further sexual assault charges laid against suspended Perth teacher
The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) has now laid additional charges against suspended St. John CHS teacher, Jeffrey Peters as part of an ongoing sexual assault investigation.
In October, an individual reported an historical sexual assault. Officers from the Lanark OPP Crime Unit began an investigation and on November 7th charged the 43 year-old Peters with two counts of Sexual Assault, two counts of sexual exploitation and two further counts of Sexual Exploitation in relation to alleged victims between 2013-2015.
Then, on November 26, an additional charges of Sexual Assault and Sexual Exploitation in relation to a third victim of alleged incidents in 2019.
Today, (December 11th) the accused was charged with another count of Sexual Assault and Sexual Exploitation after a fourth victim came forward in relation to alleged incidents between 2018-2019.
Peters was again released on conditions and is scheduled to make a court appearance on December 16th, 2019 regarding all charges against him. None of the charges have been proven in court.
