12:05pm Jan. 10- Hwy. 7 in Sharbot Lake Has Re-Opened

UPDATE- 12:05pm- Hwy 7 Has Re-Opened

The Sharbot Lake Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) Detachment is investigating a fatal collision that occurred at approximately 5:45 a.m. on January 10, 2020.

Officers located the pedestrian 64-year-old Wayne Kimberley suffering from life threatening injuries on Highway 7 in Central Frontenac Township. Mr. Kimberley was transported by ambulance to hospital but died as a result of his injuries.

The preliminary investigation has found that Mr. Kimberley was walking along the north shoulder and was struck by an unknown vehicle, which then left the scene. 

The OPP say that Highway-7 between Highway-38 and Highway-509 has re-opened. 

 The Sharbot Lake OPP is continuing with the investigation and are looking to identify the vehicle involved.
