Disclosure hearing held for Perth teacher accused of sexual assault
The Perth High School teacher facing 10 charges of sexual assault, interference and exploitation had his disclosure hearing on January 13th, in front of Justice Jacque DesJardin,
Neither Jeffrey Peters nor his lawyers were in attendance at the Smiths Falls courthouse, however according to the acting Crown attorney Robert Corbella, Peters’ attorneys are in contact with his office and have received the articles of disclosure.
Corbella confirmed receipt of a disclosure letter from Peters’ lawyers on January 3, to which he responded the same week.
According to Corbella the only thing missing on Peters file are notes from a couple of peripheral police officers.
It was agreed that Peters’ case will come forward on Feb 10th at the Perth courthouse for a judicial pre-trial hearing.
