Smiths Falls charge man allegedly prowling through yards charged

Smiths Falls police report that in the early morning hours of Wednesday, January 15th a Smiths Falls Police Patrol officer noted a suspicious male coming out from behind a yard in the area of Robinson Ave.

Another male was spotted nearby allegedly acting as a “look out.” The officer confronted the male and arrested him for trespassing by night. Subsequent to his arrest a search of this male revealed an instrument used to break windows, cash, some PS4 games and a prohibited weapon.

The male has been identified as 37 year-old Tyler William Wark of Brockville St. in Smiths Falls. Wark was held in custody pending bail and for continuing the investigation into several reported thefts from motor vehicles. He was charged with trespass by night, possession prohibited weapon, carrying a concealed weapon, possession of a break- in instrument and breach of a weapons prohibition.

The charges in these matters have not been proven in court.

    Just curious. Why do 6ou put out some names of crimes nut not others????

      The names are provided by police services. Some of them they withhold for a variety of reasons. The most common is to protect the identity of victims. Please contact your local police department should you require further explanation.
