Grocery program for at risk seniors and vulnerable citizens now serving Perth and Lanark Highlands

by | Apr 24, 2020 | Uncategorized | 0 comments

Lanark Community Programs, a program of Lanark Renfrew Health and Community Services, have partnered with Carebridge, The Table Community Food Centre, and Barnabe’s Your Independent Grocer to deliver groceries to seniors and those people most at risk in the Perth and Lanark Highlands area during the pandemic.

The effort will be delivered by staff redeployed at Lanark Community Programs and community volunteers who will shop and deliver the groceries.

Those who need the service can call Barnabe’s at (613) 267-6763 to be put in touch with the shoppers.

Carebridge has similar programs already in place in Carleton Place, and Almonte.

For the Patrice’s YIG in Almonte, call 613-256-2080 ext. 312 or 313.  For Mitchell’s YIG in Carleton Place, call 613-253-6206 ext. 121.
