Carleton Place discusses daycare plan

by | Jun 17, 2020 | Local News | 0 comments

On Tuesday, Carleton Place council received an update from manager of Childcare Services, Tracey Freill on the plans to reopen the municipal daycare facilities.

Freill reported that the town-owned daycare operations would recommence on July 6, with staff reporting back on the 4th for training and site preparation.

Only 10 people, including children and adults, will be permitted in any one room and no mixing of occupants between rooms will be allowed.

Sufficient PPE  had been obtained according to Freill and a strict screening of everyone entering the buildings will be completed.

Spaces will be limited and staff are in the process of working out the numbers.

Freill was confident in meeting and adhering to all new health measures to be able continue her organization’s mandate of child safety.
