Win2020 Hospital Lottery kicks off summer with 2nd early bird draw – Diane Gillieson with ticket number 102606
Diane Gillieson of Perth kicked off her summer in style by winning the 2nd early bird draw of the Win2020 Hospital Lottery. Winning ticket number 102606 was drawn at the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital.
Gillieson’s ticket is one of 10,845 that were sold for the lottery that benefits quality local health-care close to home in support of Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation and the Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation. She is still eligible for the grand prize draw on July 9 for a 2020 convertible Camaro courtesy of Bean Chevrolet in Carleton Place. All tickets for the lottery were sold out by June 3rd.
Gillieson said, “You’re kidding! I never win anything. I bought the ticket to support the hospitals.”
“We can’t thank all the ticket buyers enough said Keith Bean, Dealer, Bean Chevrolet. By donating a 2020 Camaro, we hoped we could turn that $50,000 car into $200,000 for our two hospitals and the ticket buyers made that happen. We all are feeling that health care has never been so important.”
Carleton Place & District Memorial Hospital Foundation and Almonte General Hospital Fairview Manor Foundation launched the Win2020 Hospital Lottery on May 1. Tickets were $25 for one or $100 for five. Net proceeds from the lottery will be used to purchase new or replacement equipment at the two local hospitals and Fairview Manor.
