Lanark County police report
Between Tuesday, September 8, 2020 and Monday September 14, 2020 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 290 calls for service.
The calls included:
Motor Vehicle Collisions

Parking Lots: 1
Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 3
On September 13, 2020 Shawn GREGOIRE, age 28, of Arnprior was charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a motor vehicle, possession of property obtained by crime and failing to comply with release order as the result of a motor vehicle collision in Lanark Highlands Township.
The Lanark County OPP also investigated 13 non-criminal domestic disputes
Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 10 theft complaints during the past week.
The Lanark County OPP investigated 5 incidents of mischief and/or property damage
On September 12, 2020 Zheng Neng LIN, age 48, of Markham and Jie LIN, age 27, of Smiths Falls were each charged with one count of possession of one or more cannabis plants in a public place as the result of a traffic stop on Highway 7 in Carleton Place.
