Town of Perth fostering economic recovery through Economic Recovery Task Force
To facilitate economic recovery in the wake of the COVID-19 Pandemic, the Town of Perth’s Economic Recovery Taskforce (ERTF) is hard at work identifying and implementing initiatives to get businesses and residents through the economic downturn.
Since its establishment in July, the ERTF has made significant strides in developing an economic recovery plan, in advising Council on how best to get Perth through the Fall and Winter, and in exploring new and exciting partnerships that have the potential to reshape business in Perth.
Mayor John Fenik states “Council’s decision to create the Economic Recovery Task Force is already yielding great results thanks to the expertise and volunteer contributions from several local business people. With their dedication and input, and the support of Council, I’m more confident that Perth businesses can make it through the COVID-19 pandemic”
Participation of the entire Perth business community has been integral in shaping the priorities that the ERTF will recommend to Town Council. It is through this spirit of collaboration that the Town of Perth, its residents, and its businesses will recover from this event and emerge as a stronger and better community to work, live, and play in.
