Lanark County OPP report

Between Monday, November 23, 2020 and Monday, November 30, 2020 officers from the Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to 347 calls for service. 

The calls included:
Motor Vehicle Collisions
Total: 55        
Car / Deer: 19
Parking Lots: 7
Single Motor Vehicle off Road (“in ditch”): 12

Impaired Driving
On November 26, 2020 Kevin MANTON, 27yrs of age of Montague Township, was charged with one count each of operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 and operation while impaired -alcohol or drug as the result of a RIDE program in Beckwith Township. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on December 28, 2020.

On November 26, 2020 Corey BLAKELEY, 33yrs of age of Carleton Place, was charged with one count each of operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 and operation while impaired -alcohol or drug as the result of a collision investigation. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on December 14, 2020.

On November 29, 2020 Andrew HART, 27yrs of age of Nepean, was charged with one count each of operation while impaired – blood alcohol concentration over 80 and operation while impaired -alcohol or drug as the result of a traffic stop. The accused is scheduled to appear in the Ontario Court of Justice in Perth on January 11, 2021.

Domestic Incidents
On November 23, 2020 a 44yr old resident of Ottawa was charged with two counts of failing to comply with an undertaking as the result of a domestic investigation.

The Lanark County OPP investigated 8 non-criminal domestic disputes during this week.

Thefts
Officers of the Lanark County OPP investigated 9 theft complaints during the past week.

Mischief
The Lanark County OPP investigated 3 incidents of mischief and/or property damage

Frauds
The Lanark County OPP investigated 5 reports of fraud during the past week.
