Clarke Family sells Carleton Place Canadians
The Carleton Place Canadians have been sold. Jason Clarke released a statement on behalf of his family saying they have sold the CCHL Tier 1 franchise to Brent Sullivan.
Clark writes in his statement that it is a dream to own the club and that their focus has always been to develop players on and off the ice. He says these goals have allowed the team to be recognized on many different levels from the CCHL, CJHL, Hockey Canada, The Fred Page Cup and three consecutive trips to the RBC National Championships. He says he is very proud that the club has helped its players reach both their educational and athletic goals.
He also says the community has been a big part of the team, saying that it was the town’s team and says their success over the years is attributed to the dedicated fan base. Clarke added, “Words cannot express how thankful we are to our beloved community, thank you from the bottom of our hearts.”
The Sullivan Group takes control of the team on May 1st.
