UPDATED: Snowmobile vs. Pedestrian collision leaves one in hospital
The Lanark County Detachment of the Ontario Provincial Police (OPP) responded to a report of a collision involving a motorized snow vehicle (MSV) and a pedestrian on the Ottawa Valley Recreational Trail (OVRT) within the town limits of Carleton Place Monday at 3:45pm.
Lanark County Ambulance attended and transported the pedestrian, a 49 year old female, to hospital with serious injuries. The section of trail between Franklin and Albert Streets was closed for several hours for the investigation conducted by the OPP’s Traffic Collision Investigators (TCI).
The trail has since been re-opened but the investigation into the cause of the collision is on-going.
