Westport to get pop-up vaccination clinic
Westport Mayor Robin Jones say that with a lot of effort by the Leeds, Grenville & Lanark Health Unit, she is pleased to announce that there will be a vaccination clinic in the Village at the Arena on April 20th.
The Health Unit has told Lake 88 that plans are in the works for more pop-up clinics in other communities in the near future.
Everyone 60 years of age and older is eligible to book their vaccine appointment.
Mayor Jones says she wants to thank Tracey Phillips for working with her to help the Health Unit take its decision to hold a clinic in the Village.
She notes that many volunteers are helping to convert the arena into a vaccination clinic.
The Mayor also says she and MPP Steve Clark continue to advocate to have the Westport Pharmacy designated as a vaccination location.
Mayor Jones is also asking everyone to stay safe and to please encourage friends and family who are 60 years of age and older to get vaccinated.
