OPP nab driver driving 144 km/h in an 80 km/h zone near Portland
The OPP are reminding drivers to slow down.
They tweeted that OPP officers were on patrol yesterday and they noted a “blur caught the eye of the officer,” in a tongue in cheek post.
The blur was a car travelling 144 km/h in an 80kmh zone just 200m before the 70 zone begins in Portland in front of the OPP detachment.
As a result, stunt driving charges were laid. The unidentified driver’s care is impounded for two weeks and the driver had their license suspended for a week.
They could also be facing stiff fines.
