The latest outbreak report from the Health Unit shows once again, that there are no outbreaks in schools in Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville.

There have been individual cases in some schools, but very few outbreaks have been declared since the start of the school year.

That’s something our Medical Officer of Health Dr. Paula Stewart attributes to vaccines among 12-17 year-olds, here and across Ontario.

The doctor says it’s also a hint as to what we can expect when vaccines are deemed safe for the younger students.

She says that we could hear a decision from Health Canada on the Pfizer vaccines for kids sooner rather then originally expected.
