As the end of 2021 approaches so too does the warden Christa Lowry’s term of office in Lanark County.

Lowry, who is also the Mayor of Mississippi Mills, was encouraged by fellow county council members she respected to put a bid in for warden and that’s what she did.

Over the year Lowry wanted to be at the forefront of the county’s 10-year affordable housing strategy, and felt it was a good time to seek her first term.

Looking back at 2021 Lowry mentioned how far the county’s come to life being restored. Lowry reminisced on how far the county has come from the start of the year.

Perth mayor John Fenik is poised to be acclaimed next week as warden for 2022.
