Long-service awards presented to Carleton Place Firefighters

Fire Chief Pascal Meunier receives a 25 year award for his service
This week Carleton Place Mayor, Doug Black, presided in the town hall’s council chambers for the first time in almost 2 years to present long service awards to members of the fire service.
At the beginning of the zoom council meeting, Mayor Black moved from his office to the council chambers to present a 20 year exemplary service medal to Deputy Chief Dave Joy, and 25 year long service awards to Firefighter Brent Hurdis and Chief Pascal Meunier.
Black took the opportunity to highlight the various and valued community supports that members of the fire department provide outside of emergency response.
He also provided his deepest thanks on behalf of a grateful community.
