Smiths Falls council finalized the third phase of Town Hall renovations last night, which includes council chamber upgrades.
The Municipal Heritage Committee asked council to use wood-framed windows in lieu of the proposed aluminum wood-clad.
Smiths Falls Mayor Shawn Pankow says that after talking to the architecture firm, council opted to go with the latter as a cost-saving measure.
Partner of the hired architecture firm +VGO Dan Wojick said there’s money to be saved using aluminum wood-clad windows.
The hope is to have construction complete by the end of next summer.
