The former coach, GM, and owner of the Carleton Place Canadians who built a dynasty for the team in the CCHL is moving up the coaching ranks.

The Acadie-Bathurst Titan of the QMJHL announced yesterday that Jason Clarke has been named head coach of the major junior team based in Bathurst, New Brunswick.

Last year Clarke was an assistant coach with Shawinigan of the Quebec Major Junior League.

Before that he was in Carleton Place for 12 years where he served as owner, general manager and head coach of the Canadians.

From 2014 through 2016, teams led by Clarke won four CCHL championships, three CJHL championships, and appeared in the three national championships. He had also been recognized as coach and GM of the year in the CCHL.
