The number of kids getting vaccinated against COVID-19 in the 5-11 age group continues to grow in Lanark, Leeds, and Grenville with 56.7% in the group with their first shots, while 7.1% have their second.

Medical Officer of Health Dr. Paula Stewart has addressed hesitant parents.

The doctor says she still gets questions about the risk pericarditis and myocarditis, which have been very rare side effects affecting the heart in teens and younger adults.
