Essential travel to Ottawa only as Convoy rolls in – Lanark could see a ripple effect

Lanark County OPP says that even though the convoy isn’t heading our way, it will still have a local effect.
For example, people who may have usually travelled on one of the routes the truckers could be taking an alternate route like highway 7, 15 or 43 through our listening area. So be ready for more traffic.
As for any heading to the capital, OPP Constable Joe Tereschuk tells us, maybe reconsider.
The Constable says anyone who travels in Ottawa that on the best of days traffic can be busy. With the convoy on its way, you can expect the secondary routes and side-streets to be busier than normal.
