The 2-1-1 service has been up and running in Lanark County for some time now, and backers, including the United Way East Ontario, are trying to get word out.

You just call the number when you need help to find a service, and, as Executive Director of 2-1-1 East, John Hoyles tells us, they take over from there.

Hoyles says they can actually make several referrals in one call to help people cover all issues they need help with and they even call providers on callers’ behalf and stay with them on the line until they are comfortable.

Again, the number to call is 2-1-1.
